The Generic Flight Deck is an all-glass reconfigurable cockpit. The GFD has the following features:
- Collimated Visual System using four displays, two forward and one for each side
- HUD projection on out-the-window CGI
- 2 Crew and 3 Observers seats

Advanced all “glass” generic cockpit which can be used to represent a large range of vehicle types (spacecraft and aircraft )

Three large LCD’s in main instrument panel, three LCD’s in overhead panel, one LCD in center aisle stand

LCD displays are configured with touch-sensitive functionality

Stirling NGI electric side arm controllers, Pilot and Copilot
- Four throttle 747 center aisle stand
- Audio cue provided by digital sound system
- Capable of interfacing selected flight systems for testing (hardware-in-the-loop)
Recent studies in the GFD include DreamChaser, HL-20, Blended Wing Body, High Speed Civil Transport, supersonic studies, space transportation, Lunar Lander and spacecraft rendezvous and docking.
